New Realtor.com Listing Feature: “What’s My Commute Time?”

A new decision-making tool on Realtor.com will calculate both off-peak and rush-hour commute times.

Realtor.com announced the launch of a new Commute Time Filter on iOS that provides buyers an enhanced ability to search for homes based on rush-hour or off-peak commute times.

“Our commute time filter is different from others in the marketplace because it gives buyers the ability to toggle between rush hour and off-peak commute times,” says Chung Meng Cheong, CPO for realtor.com. “With a more holistic view of their drive to and from work, people are able to make more informed decisions about where to live, and hopefully reduce some unnecessary stress from their daily lives.”

After entering a basic search of bedrooms, bathrooms and location on the realtor.com iOS app, users can then filter listings that match their preferred commute time. The times are offered in 10-minute increments up to 60 minutes or more. After a maximum acceptable commute time is entered, all available homes within their search parameters, including commuting distance, will be displayed.Realtor.com says its Commute Time Filter will soon be expanding to the company’s Android app, as well as web and mobile web.
